Proverbs By the Sea
Wise Solomon had his proverbs, and how true they remain.
We offer sayings of our own, which you may judge for yourself:
A good name is easily slandered,
But a bad name allows one to be left alone.
The lawful and lawless have this in common;
Both can text and drive.
In politics, it matters not how you play the game,
But whether you win or lose.
Train up a child in the way she should go,
And when she is old she will repent.
The way to a crocodile's heart
Is to swim in his river.
Do right and follow the teachings of the wise,
And someone will steal your identity.
Search far and wide to make new friends,
And a drunken driver will follow you home.
Root, root, root for the home team,
And your favorite player will be traded.
The end of it is.
