Do You Mind?

A few weeks ago, we offered words that describe the human heart and soul, positive or negative. Again, this isn't our beating heart, but our character, not physical like our brain.

Our heart, soul and mind continue on after our physical nature, including our brain, dies. So, our heart and mind have enormous importance, while our brain is also important, but only for a time.

As someone whose brain is just average, I won't mind leaving my brain behind.

     Never mind.

As with our hearts, our minds can be positive or negative, depending on how we're raised and how we deal with life when we begin making our own decisions.

Our mind can be positive, dependable, clear, open, mindful, willing, faithful, steadfast, peaceful and willing to unite with others who share these characteristics. We can enjoy self-control and understanding.

On the downside, poor parents or guardians, our playmates and those we meet, may unite us with the wrong crowd. That could make us anxious, depraved, unfruitful, hostile, worldly, proud, mentally blind and self-centered. Even dangerous. In those circumstances, there are people whose minds choose a better way.

What about our physical brain? It is so complicated atheists don't even go there. It's the organ that controls thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, hunger and other processes. Treat it well. Keep it sober. It can be a good soulmate.
