Jacob's discovery:

Jacob called the place where he had the dream "Beth-el,"

that is,

"the house of God, the place where God is present." 

For him it transformed from "a certain place"

nowhere special

to the place inhabited by God himself. 

If we believe, and have the Holy Spirit,

we are that place.
