To Worry or Not 

     We read a long report from a man whose career has been finances. He claims to have a long history of successful predictions about recessions and depressions. 

     Among other things, he predicts Donald Trump to win this election, but also that Democrats will announce that he will destroy democracy. They will not turn over the keys to the White House. And they will do the destroying. 

     What could this lead to? 

     The man has all sorts of advice about what stocks to buy and what to sell. He claims three (millionaires/billionaires?) have already turned their stocks into cash. Our savings, he claims, will disappear.

     So, we crawled into bed and pulled up the covers.

     Well, no. But we did come across an encouraging Scripture: 

     Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Jesus in Matthew 6:33, 34 

     Thank you, Lord. We can do that.   

     But there is 1 Peter 1:6, 7. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith...may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
