Formless, Empty and Dark  

       ...so it was, over the surface of the deep. 

       And God said: Let there be light. 

            STOP! 

       Is there a greater material miracle than waves of light energy produced, not by GE or Westinghouse, but by God, who is Spirit? 

       Stars are (radiation) light-bearers (Hebrew ma'or). God uses our star to mark days, seasons and years. We cannot fathom these hydrogen, helium, nuclear fireballs. Their gravity captures objects billions of miles away. 

       What do we learn? God is boundless power. We have nowhere to hide. 

       CNN and the New York Times weren't there, but Moses reported, in the form of a prayer: Before...you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. 

       The Creator had help. 

       In verse 2, the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Add water to your list of extraordinary miracles. No evolution about it. 

       Ruah, Hebrew for Spirit, can also mean wind or breath. By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. - Psalm 33:6. When you send your Spirit, they (living creatures) are created, and you renew the face of the earth. - Psalm 104:30

       The Son of God makes three. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.  - John 1:1, 3-4

        For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible ... all things were created by him and for him.      He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.                    - Colossians 1:16-17

        In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets ... but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.   - Hebrews 1:1-2
