The Day of the Lord  

   Here's a verse Vladimir Putin needs to know:

   'Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble and that day that is coming will set them on fire,' says the Lord Almighty. 

   There is good news for those who are faithful and honor God ... and as we like to add, "No matter what!" 

   But for you who honor my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. 

Commentary: The day of the Lord will also mean salvation and deliverance for all who love and serve him. In his kingdom God's glory and righteousness will shine like the sun, bringing goodness, blessing, salvation and healing. Everything will be made right. 

   The above verses are from the last chapter of Malachi, the last book of the Old Testament, which we have grown to love and learn from.
