The Temperature Will be 31

View's interrupts normal blogging, to do some balling.

College Football that is. Today ends the regular season. Rivalries!

Alabama tangles with Auburn. UCLA with USC. Purdue & Indiana. Oh wait, Indiana won last night.

Ohio State vs. Michigan, at noon, "The Game?

Or maybe you would rather watch Texas vs. Texas A&M. Oh wait, they played last night, and Texas upset the No. 3 opponent.

The spread today: Buckeyes by about two touchdowns. But the Bucks had a similar spread last year, at home, and lost by three points ... Michigan's fourth win in a row. Before that streak, OSU won seven straight.

Last year Michigan ran the ball, and if needed on third down, they threw short passes to stay on the field. They were in no hurry to score. Rather, keep the Buckeye offense off the field as long as possible. Will that work today?

Injuries add to the guess-work. Ranked #15, Michigan's top running back is out. Ranked #1, Ohio State's two pass receivers, best in the country? are healing from injuries and their status is uncertain. Or maybe it's a secret. OSU's 11 opponents averaged 7.2 points a game.

Michigan, with two losses, is also playing to enter post-season playoffs. About 3.30 pm we will include the final score, below. On the coldest, snowiest day of the season.

Ohio State  27   Michigan  9
