We Are Sent
Ever since the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples at Pentecost, the disciples and missionaries have been sent throughout the world with the "good news."
Did you know that all of us Christians are sent, even if we haven't left our hometown? We never thought of it that way, but that's what our pastor wrote to the congregation.
He says, "We are not living our life by chance. We are sent ... strategically placed by God. Not a coincidence, but a divine assignment. We have a role to play in His kingdom, right where we are. We can make a difference.
"Our mission field is wherever God has placed us. Our conversations with coworkers become opportunities to show Christ's love. Our interactions with others become chances to demonstrate His grace...to display His faithfulness. That difficult coworker? Struggling neighbor?
"Being sent doesn't mean we have all the answers or are perfect. It simply means being available and willing to let God work wherever He has placed us."
PRAYER
Lord, help me see my daily life through your eyes. Make me sensitive to the opportunities You place before me. Amen.
Your blogger needs to get with it.
