Five Cities in One

What do Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island have in common? They are all different, and all together comprise New York City.

So, why is a man with no resume running for mayor of our largest and one of our most important cities? He is a socialist, basically communist, far left, although he won't say so before election day.

Zorhran Mamdani is a Muslim immigrant. He has the support of Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, far left Bernie Sanders of Vermont and far left Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. Oh yes, being a socialist is all that matters, not what state you represent. And there are national implications.

Recently Mamdani debated with former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, now an independent, and Curtis Stiwa, founder of Guardian Angels crime organization. Current Mayor Eric Adams has dropped out of the race. Mamdani won the primary.

Stiwa has enough supporters to send Cuomo's way, possibly giving the troubled ex-governor the lead. But we saw him interviewed, sounding like he knows best and isn't going to quit. Well, he isn't going to rise that far in two weeks, and we'll never know if he could have saved New York by dropping out.

Mamdani is already stirring people to leave the City. He hates the police, Israel and claims to be President Trump's worst nightmare. Why can't a city of 8 million produce one respectable mayor?
